iReasoning SNMP Agent Simulator simulates SNMPv1/v2c/v3 agents for development, testing, demonstrations and training without purchasing or maintaining physical devices. Version 6.0 brings desktop lab management, repeatable scenarios and REST/Python automation to your SNMP testing workflow. What's New in Version 6.0

  • Persistent lab workspace. Organize agents, saved scenarios and results in one place. Labs save automatically and remain available across application restarts.
  • Repeatable scenario testing. Use the scenario editor to schedule agent actions, value changes, faults and traps/INFORMs, and add checks for expected traffic. Start with the outage template and rerun scenarios from a reset baseline.
  • Configurable fault injection. Test how your management application handles response delays, random or burst response loss, SNMP errors, temporary outages and agent reboots.
  • Runtime OID overrides. Change simulated values, including read-only OIDs, without editing source recordings. Clear overrides to restore the underlying values.
  • REST, Python and headless automation. Create and control labs, agents and scenarios through the REST API or Python client. Use the headless runner, Linux container support and CI examples to integrate SNMP tests into automated pipelines.
  • Test results and reports. Follow live run progress, inspect event history and assertion outcomes, and export JSON or JUnit XML reports for your test pipeline.
  • Portable labs and standalone runs. Import existing projects or exchange labs, recordings, scenarios and results in a single lab archive. Generate commands to control desktop labs or export a scenario with its assets and a standalone run script.
  • Optional Claude Code integration. Use natural language to find library devices, create agents and scenarios, control labs, and explain or export results with the supplied Claude Code skill. Requires a separate Claude Code installation.

Licensing and pricing

Version 6.0 is available with 1-, 100-, 300- or 1,000-agent limits and prepaid 1-, 2- or 3-year terms. One-year licenses start at $800. Two-year terms cost 1.8 times the one-year price; three-year terms cost 2.5 times. Maintenance, updates, upgrades and technical support are included for the full term.

Your initial term begins when the license is issued. Renew manually at then-current prices to continue use after expiry; there is no automatic billing. Existing perpetual rights remain valid for previously licensed versions. Upgrading to 6.0 requires a term license.
